Job Description

Job Purpose

To drive sales of agricultural inputs such as crop nutrition products, soil conditioners, fertilizers, seeds, crop protection products, and micronutrients in the assigned area. The role involves engaging with farmers, dealers, and distributors to promote company products, provide agronomic support, and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets in the assigned territory.

• Build strong relationships with farmers, retailers, and distributors.

• Conduct on-field activities like:

  • Farmer meetings

  • Demonstration plots

  • Product awareness campaigns

  • Field days

• Educate farmers on:

  • Best practices

  • Product usage and benefits

  • Application techniques

• Appoint and manage new dealers/distributors where required.

• Monitor competitor activity and report market intelligence to management.

• Ensure timely product availability by coordinating with logistics teams.

• Follow up for payments and maintain credit discipline.

• Keep daily records of sales, field visits, and farmer interactions.

• Monitor and report stock levels at dealer and retailer points.

• Collect testimonials and success stories from farmers and dealers.

Candidate Profile

• Education:

  • B.Sc. (Agriculture) or M.Sc. (Agriculture) preferred

  • Diploma in Agriculture / BRS acceptable for entry-level roles

  • Certification in Agri Sales or Agronomy is an added advantage

• Experience:

  • 3 to 8 years in agri-input sales roles

• Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge in agriculture and crop inputs

  • Good communication and persuasion skills

  • Target-oriented and customer-focused approach

  • Basic computer and mobile app proficiency

  • Fluency in local language (Gujarati or Marathi) is a must

• Other Requirements:

  • Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license

  • Willing to travel and work in rural and semi-urban areas
